We think that I was the only one in attendance that didn’t win a door prize. The kids did, though. Liam got a poster, Ada a book, and Helena some nice balloons.

Downtown Trip
School was cancelled due to snow, so we took the bus downtown for lunch, Candyland, and just to walk around.
There was mini golf, too. We asked some seemingly official people if we could play, so Liam and Ada did. Then we were told that it was for a fundraiser and not to play unless we paid. But nobody seemed to know where to pay, so that ended our mini golf excursion.

Lake Harriet Hero
I was looking to find out what time a music concert was supposed to begin on the Lake Harriet website and saw that Liam was a “Lake Harriet Hero”, which is sort of like the student of the month. I asked him why he didn’t tell me and he said, “I don’t know”. I asked him if he told his mother, and he said that she had seen his picture in the hallway so she found out.
I then asked him if he would be able to keep the photo (I thought it was an individual one, but it turns out it wasn’t). He said that he wasn’t sure if he could have it because they didn’t give it to him last year.
“What? You were a Lake Harriet Hero last year, too?!”
