St Louis Day Three

A very windy day in St Louis. Twenty five to thirty mile an hour winds – that’s not the gusts. Still, we walked a great part of the day.

Cahokia

I learned about this from the book 1491. So it was nice to see it in person.

Once again, you can see how windy it was today.

Fitz’s

Go for the root beer and ice cream. Don’t go for the service!

And then back at the hotel, the pool was closed. During the Manager’s Reception, there were lots of kids with bathing suits on, but the pool was closed. So when the pool finally opened at 7:30, there were plenty of kids that wanted to go in.

So we went back at 8:30 and it was slightly less busy.

St Louis Day Two

We started the day by looking at the Cathedral Basilica of St Louis. Across the street we saw an important name in the area.

Then it was off to the zoo. A little bit windy, but the kids had fun walking around which we needed after our huge breakfast.

Next it was off to Pappy’s for some ribs (and pork sandwiches). There was a bit of a line to get in.
