Old Gem Theatre

at the Bryant Lake Bowl.

At the beginning, when the actors began going over the rules, such as we were allowed to laugh and clap and give suggestions (this being a kids’ play), we had to act out the laughing, clapping, etc.

So when it was time for the audience to practice a laugh, a gave a very loud and low laugh. The kids found it terribly funny, especially since the actors on the stage noticed as well. They also thought that it was funny when a kid was on the stage dressed in a wig, and when she was supposed to get up from being scared her wig fell off, so I said “They scared the wig right off her!”

So although the play was obviously geared toward kids much younger than the ones that I brought, the kids had a good time.

And Helena even got on stage. She tried to get Ada to go up there with her, but that wasn’t going to happen.
